Introducing Jackson Ignite: The New Women’s Team in WPSL

Exciting news for soccer fans in West Tennessee—Jackson Ignite is officially here! As the women’s division of Jackson Boom, Jackson Ignite will compete in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL), bringing high-level women’s soccer to our community like never before. But that’s not all—leading the team in its inaugural season will be Alvis Ortego, a top-tier coach with experience from the Real Madrid Foundation. With a strong background in player development and elite-level coaching, Ortego is the perfect leader to guide Jackson Ignite as we embark on this journey.

Why Jackson Ignite? Women’s soccer is growing at an incredible rate, and we believe West Tennessee should be part of that movement. Jackson Ignite will provide female athletes—from college players to rising stars—the opportunity to develop and compete at one of the highest levels in the country. We’re building a program that’s about more than just soccer. Jackson Ignite will be a platform for player development, community engagement, and inspiring the next generation of young athletes.
